"Northland Sweepstakes" Official Rules

No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

1. Eligibility: This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the following states of the United States: Washington, Idaho, California, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina who are 18 years of age or older and a current customer in good standing of one of Sponsor's cable television systems, a list of which is set forth in Exhibit A. Employees of Sponsor and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, managed companies, advertising and promotional agencies and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses) and household members of each are ineligible. Sweepstakes subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.



2. How to Enter: The "Northland Customer Appreciation Drawing" (the "Sweepstakes") begins at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on January 1, 2007 and ends 11:59 PM (PST) at the end of business on January 1, 2008 (the "Promotion Period"). Drawings will be held on the first business day of each of the following months, April 2007, July 2007, October 2007 and January 2008 (each a "Drawing Date"). Entry forms must be received no later than one business day prior to the respective Drawing Date. By entering, entrants agree to these Official Rules.
   
   Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, managed companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective employees, directors, officers, shareholders and agents from any and all claims or liability in connection with participation in this promotion or acceptance or use of any prize.
   
   There are two ways to enter:
   
   
   1. Manual Entry: Come to or call any one of our office locations and ask for an entry form to the Sweepstakes. If you call we will promptly mail you a Sweepstakes entry form. Hand print your name, address and daytime telephone number on the supplied Sweepstakes entry form and either hand-deliver it to any Customer Service Representative at any Sponsor office location or mail it to the following address: Northland Communications Corporation, Customer Appreciation Drawing, 101 Stewart Street, Suite 700, Seattle Washington, 98101 Attn: Keri King.
   
   
   
   2. Mail-In Entry: Hand print your name, address and daytime telephone number on a 3" x 5" card, insert into a postage pre-paid envelope and mail to Northland Communications Corporation, Customer Appreciation Drawing, 101 Stewart Street, Suite 700, Seattle Washington, 98101 Attn: Keri King.
   
   
   
   No mechanical reproductions or facsimiles accepted.
   
   
3. Odds of Winning: Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.



4. Judging: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries on each of the respective Drawing Dates. The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor at each of the System locations. The Sponsor's decisions on all matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes are final. All prizes will be awarded.



5. Prize: For each System, there will be no more than one (1) winner for each Drawing Date. The prize consists solely of one Fifty Dollar ($50.00) credit towards the winner's most recent cable television service invoice. If the current invoice is smaller than the prize, the winner may apply any remaining prize balance to up to two (2) subsequent invoices. In the event the prize exceeds the amount of such invoices, the remaining balance of the prize will be forfeited. The prize may not be combined with any other offer. Each winner is no longer eligible for subsequent Drawing Dates of the Sweepstakes.



6. Notification/Terms: Winners will be notified by telephone at the telephone number provided on the entry form or Customer's cable account on or about five (5) days after the respective Drawing Date. Two (2) attempts will be made to notify the potential winner via telephone. In the event the potential winner cannot be contacted after two attempts, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. This process will continue until a potential winner is contacted. Telephone calls will be made after 9:00 a.m. local time but no later than 5:15 p.m. local time each day until a winner is determined. Potential winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability release and where legal, a publicity release, and return same, properly executed, within one (1) week of issuance of notification. Failure to return documents as specified, or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable, will result in the entrant being disqualified, and the prize will be awarded to a potential alternate winner. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor and its designees to use winner and guest's names, photographs, voices, images, hometown addresses and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. If, in the Sponsors' opinion, there is any suspicion or evidence of tampering or technological corruption of the Sweepstakes, or if the security, integrity or proper play of the Sweepstakes is compromised in any way, the Administrator reserves the right to modify, suspend, and/or terminate the Sweepstakes and/or void any suspect entries, and award the prize using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of such termination date. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.



7. Limitation of Liability: Sponsor, their respective parents, affiliates, divisions, and agencies and each of the foregoing entities' respective employees, officers, directors, shareholders, managed companies and agents (the "Released Parties") are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transfer of entry information, human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, inability to access web sites, damage to a user's computer system (hardware and software) due to participation in this Sweepstakes or any other problem or error that may occur or for late, lost, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, mechanically reproduced, illegible entries or postage due entries and/or mail. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes in the event that it becomes technically impaired and award prize(s) from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation or termination. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an automatic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the cable account is registered. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Any attempted form of entry other than described herein is void.



8. Winners List: For the name of the respective winners, or a copy of the Official Rules, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Northland Communications Corporation, Customer Appreciation Drawing, WINNERS- or - OFFICIAL RULES (please specify), c/o Keri King, 101 Stewart Street, Suite 700, Seattle WA, 98101.
